Badger Hike - Griffith Observatory

Join fellow LA Badgers for a hike up to Griffith Observatory! The hike is about 30min up and 30 min down so hikers of all skill levels are welcome
Who: Alumni, friends, fans family
Hike Difficulty: Advanced Beginner
Elevation Gain: 620 ft.
Distance: 2 miles roundtrip
· 9:15am: Meet up at Trails Café
· 9:30am: Begin hike
· 10am: Arrive at Griffith Observatory – Check out Observatory, Take Pictures, snack at “Cafe at the End of the Universe”
· 11am - Begin the descent down

From Los Feliz Blvd. (one block east of where Western Avenue terminates into Los Feliz), turn north onto Fern Dell Drive. Trails Cafe will be on your left, there is free parking along Fern Dell Dr.
Cafe at the End of the Universe: Grab some food or drink with fellow Badgers at "Cafe at the End of the Universe" located on the lower level between the Gunther Depths of Space exhibit, adjacent to the Griffith Observatory. http://www.griffithobservatory.org/vcafe.html
What to bring: trail shoes/hiking boots, camera, snacks/refreshments, layered clothing as it can be windy at the top.
Dogs: Dogs are allowed on the trail, but not in Cafe at the End of the Universe or Griffith Observatory
Leaving Early/Staying Late: If you wish to head back early from the hike or stay longer, please let us know
